A rare AMC Javelin model found

According to Korrespondent.net: A unique AMC Javelin coupe from 1973, made in a limited series by the famous designer Pierre Cardin, has been discovered in the USA. The car has been preserved in almost perfect condition: in 52 years it has only covered 42,900 kilometers and has always belonged to one owner.

This discovery was reported by blogger and car restorer Lou Costabile. The owner of the car, Dave Richard from New Jersey, mentioned that he purchased the AMC Javelin by chance after he crashed his previous car during a trip to Florida.

The choice fell on the Pierre Cardin model due to its original color and interior, and the surcharge for the limited version was only $85.

The care for the car was meticulous, which allowed the body, interior and engine to be preserved in excellent condition, turning the coupe into a true 'time capsule'.

Only 2,875 such cars were produced. The AMC Javelin Pierre Cardin was equipped with V8 engines producing up to 255 hp. Specifically, this car is fitted with a 5.0-liter engine producing 150 hp and a 3-speed automatic transmission.

The discovery of this rare AMC Javelin coupe is not only a find for car enthusiasts but also an important part of automotive history, as such models are considered true collectibles. Preserved in perfect condition, this car tells the story of its time and the original design that distinguishes it from other models. Limited edition cars will always be in demand, and this model is a vivid example of how careful maintenance can preserve not only the vehicle but also a piece of history.
