Revised 'Cheaper with Loved Ones' Campaign Unveiled

According to Novyny.live: Poland's national rail operator, PKP Intercity, has updated the conditions for its summer ticket discount initiative, known as 'Cheaper with Loved Ones.' Running from June 26 to August 30, the promotion now offers a 15% reduction on fares—down from the previous 30% discount, which required tickets to be purchased at least one week before departure.

Tickets under this offer are available for groups of two to six passengers, making it easier to save on trips with companions. The deal applies to all TLK and IC category trains across Poland. Additionally, schoolchildren and students benefit from even lower fares, which could appeal to younger travelers and their families.

Travel Planning Considerations

It is worth noting that the longest Leo Express route takes 18.5 hours, a factor passengers may weigh when planning their journeys. Under the revised terms, PKP Intercity continues to provide comfortable travel options, though at slightly higher prices compared to earlier deals.

The reduced discount may affect the popularity of rail travel during the summer season, potentially discouraging some customers. However, by retaining group purchase options and special student rates, PKP Intercity aims to attract young people and families, which could offset the impact of the lower percentage off. As prices for other modes of transport rise, rail services remain a competitive choice for traveling across Poland.
