Ukrainian drones may be responsible for hitting rare aviation munitions or scarce equipment at the Borisoglebsk airfield in the Voronezh region of Russia. This is reported by the portal Defense Express.

The Borisoglebsk airfield may be used as a base for attacks on Ukraine using guided aerial bombs. This airfield is located 300 kilometers from the border with Ukraine and likely bases aircraft of the Su-35 and Su-34 types.

The purpose of this strike might have been to damage aircraft and related infrastructure. Satellite images published by Radio Liberty show the consequences of the strike on the airfield. However, the images do not reveal anything that would indicate the successful destruction of aircraft or ammunition depots.

As a result of the strike in the open air, unknown boxes or containers located near the runway were damaged and burned. These boxes may contain rare aviation munitions or valuable reconnaissance equipment.

However, additional data is needed for a definitive conclusion regarding enemy losses. In the case of a successful strike by Ukrainian Defense Forces, the losses of the Russian occupiers could be significant.

According to reports from the Security Service, Special Operations Forces of the UAF, and other defense forces, Ukrainian drones attacked ammunition depots, parking for Su-35 and Su-34 aircraft, as well as aviation fuel storage at the Borisoglebsk airfield.

This airfield is a base for shelling Ukrainian territories. Russians reported the operation of air defense systems, the presence of drones, and powerful explosions and a fire near the airfield. Satellite monitoring recorded four fires at the airfield.
