Ukraine's Armed Forces Cut Off Russian Supply Routes to Crimea: Logistics Collapse Looms.
Strategic Control of Supply Lines
According to UATV: Ukrainian defense forces have seized command of key logistics corridors used by Russian troops in Crimea, aiming to disrupt their resupply operations. The main land route, a critical artery for Moscow's forces, is now under Ukrainian control. Drone surveillance has been established over vital road segments linking Berdyansk, Melitopol, and Dzhankoy.
The Kerch Bridge and the overland corridor from mainland Russia to Crimea have become primary targets for Ukraine's military. Ukrainian drones are not only monitoring these zones but also carrying out active strikes. Two attacks were recorded near Berdyansk on a Russian cargo vessel transporting ammunition.
Impact on Supplies
In response to these developments, fuel rationing for gasoline and diesel has been imposed in Crimea and Sevastopol.
Serhiy Bratchuk stated: 'We can cut off the southern group of Russian forces from their supplies.'He further noted that 'one goal of this logistical lockdown is to slam that bottleneck shut.' These actions demonstrate that Ukrainian forces are intensifying efforts to degrade Russian military capabilities in the region.
Controlling the logistics corridors in Crimea represents a pivotal step in Ukraine's strategy to weaken Russia's military power. Reduced access to fuel and other resources could significantly impair Russian combat effectiveness on the southern front. This also highlights a shift in warfare tactics, emphasizing the use of modern technology like drones to gain a strategic edge.
