Fighting on the front: report for August 23

According to FREEДOM: According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of the beginning of August 23, there have been 134 combat clashes, most of which occurred in the Pokrovsk direction. Drone pilots from the 'Phoenix' unit of the State Border Service of Ukraine delivered a precise strike against the enemy in the Donetsk region. As a result, five occupiers, four motorcycles, two trucks, and a self-propelled howitzer 'Msta-S' were destroyed. In total, about a dozen invaders were eliminated.

Ukrainian drone operators demonstrated high skill in eliminating Russian occupiers in the Pokrovsk direction. The fighters managed to kill eight Russian invaders, even reaching them under cover. In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled the RF army's offensive in the areas of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

'Their goal is to encircle Pokrovsk or launch direct assaults on the city. A complex situation has developed in the Konstantynivka direction, to the north of Pokrovsk, towards Konstantynivka and Druzhkivka. Here, an auxiliary strike is being delivered, which, depending on the progression of events near Pokrovsk, may become the main one. Its task is to storm Konstantynivka and Druzhkivka with a subsequent move into the rear of our forces defending the Toretske and Chasiv Yar directions. The most complicated situation is observed in the Toretske direction, especially south of Toretsk,' commented the situation Pavel Lakiichuk, head of military programs at the Center for Global Studies 'Strategy XXI'.

The drone pilots of the 'Rubizh' brigade are successfully carrying out their tasks, taking prisoners. In the Pokrovsk direction, the operators managed to capture four Russian occupiers. There, the 'Spartan' brigade continues to crush the Russian occupiers' army, causing them significant losses daily. The fighters of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment conducted a combined assault on the temporary deployment site of the enemy, resulting in the elimination of many of them. The unique unmanned Barracuda boat, developed and launched by the drivers of the special forces of the 40th coastal defense brigade, demonstrates high efficiency in protecting Ukrainian shores.
