Ukrainian Forces Strike Russian Positions in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia Regions: Operation Details.
Defense Operations of Ukraine
According to UATV: On July 11, 2023, Ukraine's defense forces launched attacks against enemy assets in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia. One of the strikes targeted the 'Kalmiuske' military training ground near Dokuchaievsk.
As part of these operations, two enemy drone control centers were hit. One was located in the village of Krysanovo, Belgorod Oblast, Russia, while the other was situated near the settlement of Pershotravneve in the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Additional strikes were carried out against a concentration of enemy forces in Horlivka, located in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, as well as against a facility in Karyzh, Kursk Oblast.
Earlier reports confirmed the successful destruction of enemy watercraft in the Sea of Azov. These actions by Ukraine's defenders highlight the continuation of active military operations in occupied areas.
Ukraine's Strategic Efforts
These attacks reflect Ukraine's broader strategy to weaken the enemy's military positions and reduce its combat capabilities. Alongside targeting key infrastructure, such as drone command posts, Ukrainian forces aim to retain the initiative in the conflict—a move that could significantly influence the trajectory of hostilities in eastern Ukraine.
