According to ТСН: At the summit in Paris, where the leaders of key countries allied with Ukraine gathered, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed serious concerns about the situation, noting that Putin is not ready for peace negotiations.

"The Hardest Yards Ahead"

Starmer emphasized the importance of joint efforts by European and American allies in the pursuit of peace.

"We are closer to this goal [to peace — ed.] than ever... But the hardest yards are still ahead," the politician noted.

Putin Continues Terror

Despite attempts at diplomacy, the British leader reiterated a troubling warning that has recently been discussed in Europe: the Russian dictator does not really want peace.

"In recent weeks we have seen the opposite. Further horrific strikes against Ukraine, murders, and injuries to civilians, power outages for millions in the midst of winter," Starmer emphasized.

Britain's Role in the Peacekeeping Mission

Starmer also detailed a memorandum of understanding signed together with Volodymyr Zelensky and Emmanuel Macron regarding the establishment of "military hubs."

He assured that the UK would continue to pressure Russia and support Ukraine. In addition, the Prime Minister announced the UK's participation in ceasefire monitoring under the leadership of the US.

Emmanuel Macron also announced the establishment of a coordination center for cooperation between the armies of Ukraine and the Coalition. Following the "Coalition of the Willing" meeting, Ukraine, France, and Great Britain officially signed a declaration on the deployment of Western contingents on Ukrainian territory. The document envisages the creation of multinational forces to guarantee security.

This meeting in Paris reinforced international support for Ukraine amid ongoing aggression from Russia. The leaders of the allies reaffirmed their commitment to joint actions and further assistance to Ukraine on its path to stability and security.
