Frontline Situation

According to UATV: Ukrainian forces engaged in 158 combat clashes over the past day, indicating a high level of military activity. The most intense fighting occurred in the Huliaipole and Pokrovsk sectors, where Russian troops made 70 attempts to storm Ukrainian defensive positions. In response to these assaults, Ukrainian units struck eight areas of enemy personnel concentration, hitting three command posts, five artillery systems, and an ammunition depot.

Airstrikes and Shelling

According to a March 1 report from Ukraine's General Staff, two Russian airstrikes were recorded in the North-Slobozhanske and Kursk sectors. Furthermore, enemy forces conducted 138 artillery and mortar strikes on Ukrainian troop positions and settlements. On the South-Slobozhanske front, Russian forces made seven assaults on Ukrainian defenses, while five attacks were recorded in the Kupiansk sector. The Lyman sector saw six assaults, and seven attempts by occupying forces to advance were reported in the Sloviansk sector.

Seven attacks were carried out in the Konstantynivka sector, with a significant 45 assaults in the Huliaipole sector. Meanwhile, a substantial portion of the aggressor's offensive actions—25 in total—were halted in the Pokrovsk sector. Seven attacks were also noted in the Aleksandrovsk sector. It is important to highlight that no offensive actions were recorded in the Orikhiv and Prydniprovske sectors, and no offensive group formations were observed in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.

In a separate development, Kyrylo Budanov announced an upcoming prisoner exchange between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. These events underscore the complex and volatile situation along the front lines. The war in Ukraine, now in its third year, continues to be characterized by intense positional warfare and frequent, localized offensives.

The frontline situation remains tense as both sides continue to commit significant forces to combat. The high number of attacks and counterattacks suggests that military operations are not diminishing and may, in fact, escalate in the coming days. While the announced prisoner exchange could be a step toward reducing tensions, the overall situation on the ground indicates the conflict is far from over.
