Shyryaiev's Regiment Destroyed 15 Thousand Occupants: How It Affects the Front Near Huliaipole.
According to ТСН: Military expert Kyrylo Sazonov believes that the available data indicates almost six fully staffed enemy regiments. He emphasizes that according to the General Staff, in 2025 the total losses of Russian troops reached 418,170 individuals. In particular, the 225th separate assault regiment, commanded by the Hero of Ukraine, Major Oleg Shyryaiev, accounted for 3.5% of all occupant losses this year.
These figures confirm that statistically, Shyryaiev's unit is the most effective regiment of the Defense Forces in destroying the enemy's manpower.
The expert also noted that there are over 110 brigades in the Ukrainian army, each consisting of 2 regiments, plus about 10-15 separate regiments and other units. In total, this is around 230 regiments. Sazonov points out what the results of the Defense Forces would be if all regiments acted with the same efficiency as Shyryaiev's regiment — at least 3.4 million enemies neutralized in 2025.
The 225th separate assault regiment, according to Sazonov, dealt not only with mobilized troops from motorized rifle brigades but also with elite special forces, marines, and experienced mercenaries from PMC 'Wagner.'
There is a lot of discussion about the immediate fate of Huliaipole, where the enemy has advanced at a rapid pace in recent months. Right now, the 'kill list' of the 225th separate assault regiment is being filled at a frantic pace, as Shyryaiev's fighters inflict significant losses on the occupants in this direction,” the expert added.
These data highlight the difficult situation at the front and the importance of the role of Ukrainian units in confronting the enemy. The effectiveness of Shyryaiev's regiment may serve as an example for other parts of the army, demonstrating that coordinated actions can significantly impact combat outcomes.
