According to UATV: On June 17, the battlefield saw a dramatic escalation with 237 combat engagements recorded over the past 24 hours. The hottest spots remain the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole axes, where Ukrainian forces are holding the line, maintaining the initiative, and inflicting heavy losses on the enemy. This surge in clashes highlights the ongoing intensity of the war in eastern Ukraine.

In the northern Slobozhanske and Kursk sectors, the aggressor launched 4 airstrikes and 49 artillery bombardments. On the southern Slobozhanske axis, six separate attacks targeted Ukrainian positions. Near Kupiansk, the enemy attempted to advance four times. Defenders on the Lyman front repelled 20 attempts to breach their lines, while the Sloviansk sector saw 13 assaults.

Enemy Activity and Ukrainian Defense

Additionally, there was one assault near Kramatorsk and 15 attacks in the Kostiantynivka area. The highest enemy activity was concentrated in the Pokrovsk sector, where 40 storming operations occurred, followed by 29 attacks on the Huliaipole axis. In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy tried to push forward five times, and two assaults were recorded near Oleksandrivka.

Notably, Russian forces showed no activity in the Dnipro sector. Overall, Ukrainian troops continue to mount a vigorous defense, dealing significant blows to the enemy and demonstrating their ability to hold the initiative along the front line.

The escalation in combat operations underscores the ongoing active hostilities between Ukrainian forces and the aggressor.
