Ukrainian Forces Repel 279 Enemy Attacks in a Single Day, With Heavy Fighting Near Pokrovsk and Huliaipole.
Combat Clashes on the Frontline: June 4
According to UATV: On June 4, a total of 279 combat engagements were recorded along the front. The primary focal points of enemy assaults were the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors. Ukrainian defense forces successfully beat back numerous offensives, showcasing their resilience in defending national interests.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian troops thwarted 43 assault attempts, while in the Huliaipole sector, 37 enemy attacks were documented. Additionally, the adversary carried out 66 artillery strikes on Ukrainian positions, underscoring the intensity of hostilities in these areas. The enemy also launched two airstrikes using five guided bombs, further complicating the situation on the battlefield.
Developments in Other Frontline Sectors
Attempts by the enemy to advance were also observed in other sectors:
- In the Lyman direction, 21 enemy advances were repelled;
- In the Slavyansk sector, 19 attempts were stopped;
- In the Kostiantynivka area, 12 attacks were recorded;
- In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy tried to push forward 14 times;
- In the Orikhiv sector, 5 attempts to breach defenses were noted;
Meanwhile, no offensive actions were reported in the Prydniprovsk direction, and no assault groups were detected forming in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.
As a result, the frontline remains tense, with active combat operations ongoing in multiple areas. However, Ukrainian forces continue to successfully repel enemy attacks, demonstrating their readiness to defend the country's territorial integrity.
During this period, combat operations on the front were marked by high intensity, reflecting the ongoing strain of the conflict. Despite numerous assaults, Ukrainian troops have shown their ability to mount organized resistance, pointing to the effectiveness of their strategy and morale. The continuation of hostilities indicates that the conflict remains in an active phase, with the situation subject to change based on further military actions by both sides.
