On October 30, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Workers of Units Combating Illegal Drug Trafficking. On this exact day in 1993, a Presidential Decree was issued, establishing a special unit in the country.

The purpose of the holiday is to express gratitude to law enforcement officers. They risk their lives daily to prevent the emergence of narcotics in towns, which threaten the health and lives of many people.

Annually, October 30 is celebrated in Ukraine as the Day of the Coach. Although it is not included in the list of official holidays and memorable dates of Ukraine, this holiday has unofficially existed for over 20 years.

The idea of the celebration first emerged in 1999 among representatives of the Federation of Sports and Artistic Gymnastics of Ukraine, who emphasized the need to allocate a special day in the year for coaches. The sports world supported the idea of the holiday, which allows athletes to say "thank you" to the person for their work and support.

Established in 1990 in the USA. It was a national holiday until 2001, and then spread to countries such as Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Canada, and others.

The aim of introducing this date was to express respect and gratitude to healthcare workers who have dedicated their lives to orthopedics. Their primary duties involve caring for patients with musculoskeletal injuries.

This day is meant to shed light on the potential negative impact of excessive sugar consumption on human physical and mental health. With the increasing prevalence of diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and affective disorders, understanding the role of sugar in these health issues is more crucial than ever.

Sugar is a common substance in our diet that we often consume, even without realizing its presence. While treats such as cookies, ice cream, and candies are obvious sources of sugar, many other products, including ketchup, soy sauce, and "light" yogurts, contain significant amounts of sugar. Food manufacturers often use sugar due to its low cost, preserving properties, and ability to enhance taste.

October 30 in the ecclesiastical calendar is the feast day of the holy martyrs Zinoviy and Zinovia. They were brother and sister who grew up in a pious family. Having been orphaned early, they distributed their inheritance to the poor and devoted their lives to serving the Lord. Zinoviy was rewarded for such an act with the ability to heal the sick.

At that Time, persecutions of Christians began. Zinoviy was summoned for interrogation to Emperor Diocletian, where he was forced to renounce his faith. His sister learned about the tortures and rushed to the trial. She also openly declared her Christian faith. At first, the emperor tried to persuade both to make a sacrifice to the idols, then he killed them.
