How to Fight Drones on Fiber Optics? A Well-Known Military Figure Suggests Testing for the National Academy of Sciences.
Ukrainian scientists are actively working on solving the problem of drones on fiber optics. This information was disclosed by politician, activist, and serviceman Ihor Lutsenko. He believes that it is important to make a significant breakthrough at the state level by involving the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Lutsenko is convinced that it is necessary to offer government institutions a choice between stopping drone operations or developing new solutions against these unmanned aerial vehicles. He also noted that the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine does not necessarily have to take on the task of developing state solutions in this field.
Lutsenko emphasized that, as of today, there are no systematic and effective solutions against drones that do not operate in the electronic warfare domain.
Moreover, Ihor Lutsenko stated that 80% of attacks on enemy positions and equipment are carried out using Ukrainian drones. He described the current conflict in eastern Ukraine as a 'drone war.'
It is worth noting that a new domestically developed rocket-drone called 'Bars' has been presented in Ukraine. The characteristics of this weapon have not yet been disclosed.
