Voluntary Pension Contributions for Ukrainians Abroad

According to ТСН: Ukrainian citizens who are outside the country can pay pension contributions online and continue to accumulate pension rights. The minimum contribution is about 36 euros per month.

The Ukraine Pension Fund has pointed out that Ukrainians living temporarily or permanently abroad can conclude contracts for voluntary participation in the pension insurance. This is particularly advantageous for those approaching retirement age, as well as for individuals living in countries with which Ukraine has no social security agreements.

It should be noted that participation in this program is open to all Ukrainians who are not retirees and are registered in the register of insured persons. According to representatives of the Pension Fund, not only the person planning to retire can make contributions, but also other individuals.

The contribution amount is chosen by the program participant themselves, but payments must be at least 1,760 Hryvnias (22% of the minimum wage in Ukraine) to be credited for one month of retirement time. This is approximately 36 euros.

Regular payment of the established minimum amount guarantees the crediting of a full pension month, regardless of the person's place of residence.

It is important that participation in the program does not depend on the place of residence or work abroad. Even if a person officially works in another country, they can pay contributions to the Ukrainian pension system.

The contract can be fully concluded online through the Pension Fund's web portal. The user needs to log in to their personal account, select the service 'Contract for voluntary participation', fill in the required data, and sign the document with an electronic signature. After that, one can start making contributions in a convenient format.

Payments from abroad are made through the integrated Portmone service, which allows payments with any bank card.
