Queues at the border with Poland: where the most congestion of transport is on December 21.
According to ТСН: As of the morning of December 21, 2025, the situation at Ukraine's border crossings with neighboring EU countries varies depending on the direction.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on Telegram.
According to the data from the SBGS, the most congestion of transport is observed at the border with Poland.
Poland
There is a significant number of cars and buses recorded at the border crossings:
- Krakivets: 160 cars and 23 buses
- Ustyluh: 130 cars and 20 buses
- Rava-Ruska: 110 cars, no buses
- Shehyni: 90 cars and 20 buses
- Hrushiv: 85 cars and 13 buses
- Ugryniv: 70 cars and 8 buses
- Smilnytsia: 70 cars and 2 buses
- Nyzankovychy: 35 cars
- Yahodyn: 27 buses, cars are not allowed
Slovakia
The situation is more stable, although small queues are still recorded:
- Uzhhorod: 40 cars and 2 buses
- Small Berezny: 25 cars
- Small Selmente: no queues, open for pedestrians and cyclists from 09:00 to 21:00
Romania
No queues are recorded at all border crossings (Diakove, Solotvyno, Porubne, Krasnoyilsk, Diakivtsi). Crossing the border is proceeding as normal for both cars and pedestrians.
To avoid delays, it is recommended to choose less busy border crossings or check the updated information on the official SBGS website. Also, consider weather conditions and the time required for border and customs control.
It is reminded that it was previously reported that the passenger flow at the border before Christmas is increasing in the Lviv region, but queues vary depending on the border crossing.
The situation at the borders remains dynamic, and passengers should stay informed of possible changes. During the holiday season, many people are heading to Poland, Slovakia, and Romania, so it is worth considering the time that may be needed to cross the border to avoid unpleasant surprises.
