What cars are Ukrainians buying: May 2025 ranking.
In May 2025, sales of new passenger cars in Ukraine increased by 14.6% compared to the same period last year, reaching a figure of 6.7 thousand. Compared to April of this year, there is an increase of 11.2%.
According to the Institute for Automotive Market Research, the majority of new passenger cars (97.5%) were imported and only 2.5% were manufactured in Ukraine. Among the passenger cars registered in May, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Skoda brands predominated.

The most popular models among purchased cars were Renault Duster and Toyota RAV4. It is also worth noting the successful introduction of the Volkswagen ID Unix, which gained popularity among Ukrainian buyers. Most cars were equipped with gasoline engines, but there was also demand for hybrids and electric vehicles.

Imported brands and devices remain leaders among Ukrainian buyers, but domestic production also has its positions in the market.
