19 Ukrainian athletes will compete on the third day of the Olympic Games-2024. They will participate in various sports such as artistic gymnastics, fencing, judo, shooting, swimming, rowing, cycling, boxing, and tennis.
On this day, there will be individual saber tournament for women, mixed air pistol shooting competition, men's team performance in artistic gymnastics, individual judo competitions in the weight category up to 57 kg among women, synchronized ten-meter platform diving among men, and mountain bike cross-country. Other Ukrainian athletes will participate in qualifications or early stage matches.
In fencing, Ukrainian sabre fencers Vlada Kharkova and Olena Kravitska advanced to the quarterfinals of the Olympics. Olga Harlan, Alina Komashchuk and Olena Kravatska also have the opportunity to compete for medals.
In the mixed team air pistol shooting competition, the Ukrainian pair of Olena Kostevych and Oleg Omelchuk, who won bronze in Tokyo, will perform together with Viktor Bankin for the first Time.
The men's gymnastics team will advance to the final and try to reach the podium, coming closer to their success at the 2000 Olympics.
Bronze medalist from the past Olympic Games in judo, Daria Bilodid, will compete in the new weight category up to 57 kg. In synchronized ten-meter platform diving, Oleksiy Sereda and Kyrylo Bolukh will perform for the first time after the injury.
At the mountain bike event, Alexander Hudima will make his first appearance at the Olympics. Boxers, swimmers, tennis players, and a representative in table tennis will also have their matches.
