Former advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arrestovich spoke about global changes in world politics, the critical situation at the front, noting the strengthening role of BRICS and its consequences for the West and Ukraine.

He stated this in an interview on Yuriy Romanenko's YouTube channel.

According to Arrestovich, the BRICS summit in Kazan showcased new opportunities for resolving international conflicts, when the countries of the Global South can manage without Western mediation. "Not only did China and India reconcile there, but Azerbaijan and Armenia... they spoke within the framework of BRICS... and, as reported, agreed on the future peace treaty by 85%," he noted.

Arrestovich paid special attention to the role of North Korea in the new geopolitical reality: "Korea will become a deposit of manpower for BRICS... the most important thing in modern warfare, as in all wars, is cheap manpower. No matter how many robots there are on the battlefield, manpower, cheap shells, cheap drones will decide."

Speaking about global changes, Arrestovich highlighted Russia's success in creating a multipolar world: "The war began in a unipolar world, and today it is multipolar." This is precisely what Putin has been striving for all these years: "If one of the private tasks of this war was to create a multipolar world, they achieved victory in this sense," added Arrestovich, noting that "there will be wars on geopolitical fractures."

Regarding the situation at the front, Arrestovich noted serious problems with the mobilization potential in both Russia and Ukraine. "We are not a deposit, we are depleting in terms of manpower. Even if we lower the conscription age, we will pump another 200-300 thousand people, and that's it," he stated.

Arrestovich also noted problems with the mobilization potential in Western countries, citing the example of the USA: "77% of Americans aged 17 to 24 are completely unsuitable, not partially limited, but completely unsuitable for military service." He sees this as a serious challenge for the West, as Russia can draw cheap labor from countries like North Korea, but not Ukraine.

Arrestovich is particularly concerned about the current situation at the front, where Russia continues its offensive in the south. "On a 70-kilometer stretch, they broke through several sections of the front. Just pierced it like a knife through butter," said Oleksiy Arrestovich. He clarified that it concerns the areas of Velika Novosilka, Zolota Niva, and added that "the Russians are cutting the Kurakhiv bulge in this area, and this is already a nearly operational-tactical breakthrough, which has not happened during the war before."

According to him, this is "the first such symptomatic indicator that we will be sad, and it will become even sadder" soon.

In conclusion, Arrestovich emphasized that if Ukraine "distributed resources more wisely, we could bring the situation to a plateau with Western assistance, our relations with Russia would reach a plateau," however, in his opinion, "we are already not reaching this phase." Therefore, strategically speaking, Ukraine finds itself in a very dangerous situation.
