Alexey Nikolaevich Arestovich – Blogger, actor, political and military analyst, columnist, organizer of psychological seminars and training as well as a charity fund for psychological support of ATO soldiers. Former extraordinary adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak for strategic communication in the field of national security and defense, lieutenant colonel.

Place of Birth. Education. Born on August 3, 1975 in Dedoplistskaro, Kakheti, Georgia.

Studied at the biological faculty of Taras Shevchenko University. In 1993, he began to perform at the modern Kyiv theater studio 'Black Square' and dropped out of his studies.

Since 2000, he has been conducting psychological seminars and training.

In 2003 he joined the author school 'Man among Men' of Russian psychologist Avessalom Podvodny, which he graduated from in 2010.

He also studied theology at the Kyiv Institute of Saint Thomas Aquinas.

He is a graduate of the Odessa Institute for Land Forces and holds a degree as a military translator.

Career. Actor, Producer. In the 1990s and 2000s, he worked as an actor in the Kyiv theater studio 'Black Square'. He appeared in commercials and also played minor roles in 17 Russian and Ukrainian films, including 'Return of Mukhtar', 'Don't be afraid, I'm here' and 'Brothers for Brothers-2'.

In 2007, he co-organized a film production company 'Aegis Artist Group'.

In 2013, he participated in the production of the show 'Teach us to live' of the ICTV channel as a family psychologist and host.

Military, Politician. In 2005, he joined the 'Brotherhood' party and was vice-chairman of Dmitri Korczynski's party. He participated multiple times in conferences of Alexander Dugin's 'International Eurasian Movement', where he spoke out actively against the Orange Revolution.

In early 2009, he co-founded the civic initiative 'Get Rid of Everyone' with Dmitry Korczynski, aimed at demanding 'solutions from the government for the main problems of small and medium-sized businesses and truck drivers of the country'.

In June 2009, he was appointed deputy chairman of the Primorsky District Administrator of the Odessa City Council but was dismissed at his own request after 3 months.

After the Revolution of Dignity, he began to regularly appear in the media as a military expert and gave extensive interviews on military-political analysis of events for numerous national television channels, radio stations, electronic and print media, as well as for blogging on Facebook and YouTube.

Since 2014, he led the training of combat sections within the 'People's Reservist' program and organized a charity fund for psychological support of soldiers in the ATO zone (2014-2017).

From September 2018 to September 2019, he served as a scout in the OOS zone near Kramatorsk in the 72nd mechanized brigade. Previously, according to his own statements, he fought on a voluntary basis and carried out a total of 33 combat missions behind enemy lines.

On October 28, 2020, he was appointed by Leonid Kravchuk as an adviser on information policy and also the official spokesman for the Ukrainian delegation in the Trilateral Contact Group for the peaceful resolution of the war in Eastern Ukraine during negotiations in Minsk to address the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.

On December 1, 2020, the head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, appointed Alexey Arestovich as his extraordinary adviser for strategic communication in the field of national security and defense. The head of the TCG, Leonid Kravchuk, noted that Arestovich's candidacy was chosen due to military experience and vision and viewpoint on the issues under review by the TCG.

In January 2022, he resigned from his position as extraordinary adviser to the head of the Presidential Office and as spokesman for the Ukrainian delegation in the TCG, but according to a statement from the Presidential Office, Arestovich did not sign resignation statements and 'this cooperation could continue'.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, he has held daily briefings on the situation at the front on behalf of the Presidential Office.

The active blogger has almost 800,000 followers on Facebook and more than 950,000 on YouTube. He was included in the Top-100 bloggers of Ukraine according to a survey by the newspaper 'Fakty'.

On January 17, 2023, he submitted a letter for release from the position of extraordinary adviser to the Presidential Office. Later, the Presidential Office approved Arestovich's request for release from the position.

Military rank. On April 3, 2022, Alexey Arestovich announced that he was awarded the military rank of lieutenant colonel.

Personal Life. Since 2015 married. Wife – Anastasia Arestovich (born Gribanova), director of development at one of the publishing houses. The couple is raising a son together and a daughter of Alexey from his first marriage.
