Divorce of Oleksiy and Anastasia Arestovych

According to inkorr.com: Today, the court in the capital made a decision to dissolve the marriage between former advisor to the President's Office Oleksiy Arestovych and his wife Anastasia. This happened at the initiative of the wife, who indicated that their marriage was formal and the couple did not lead a shared life.

Oleksiy Arestovych did not express any objections to the dissolution of the marriage and acknowledged the court's decision. The court noted that the circumstances between the spouses made it impossible to continue their joint life.

On May 1, 2025, the president enacted a decision by the National Security and Defense Council, according to which Oleksiy Arestovych was placed under sanctions in Ukraine. 21 types of sanctions were applied to him for a term of up to May 2035.

This is not the first divorce in Ukraine, and the number of such cases is rising. In the first six months of 2025, more than 38,000 marriages were dissolved through the court in Ukraine. The highest percentage of divorces was recorded in the Dnipropetrovsk region, while Kyiv and the Odesa region hold second and third places in this indicator.

More and more Ukrainians are deciding to divorce, especially when there is no shared life, which has become evident even for the Arestovychs. The court's decision demonstrates a pragmatic approach to situations where formal relations lose any meaning.

The situation surrounding divorces in Ukraine reflects changes in societal values, as more and more people are starting to put personal interests first. The divorce process is becoming less stigmatized, and Ukrainians are increasingly choosing this path in the case of dissatisfaction with their relationships.
