According to The Sun: 15-year-old figure skater Matilda Ferrari was killed in a collision with a cement truck on her way to school.

The tragic accident occurred in Val Rendena, Trentino, on Monday morning and is currently under investigation by the police.
According to La Stampa, the driver was likely going through a green light when he struck the child crossing the road.
Matilda was heading to the bus stop to get to school when she fell victim to the collision on State Route 239 in northern Italy.
Medics urgently arrived at the scene.
A rescue team, which arrived by helicopter, was assisted by local doctors and firefighters.
Sadly, despite their efforts, the young athlete was pronounced dead due to severe injuries.
Her worried parents also arrived at the crash site upon hearing the sad news.
The cement truck belonged to the company 'Cunaccia', based in Strembo.
Matilda was well known in the small village of Giustino.
The mayor of the town, Manuel Kozi, expressed condolences regarding the girl's death.
“We are shocked... Giustino has lost a star.”
Her school in Tione is providing psychological support to classmates.
Meanwhile, the cement truck driver is receiving treatment after the accident.
Matilda trained at the sports club 'Sporting Giaccio Pinzolo Artistico e Ritmico', where she honed her skills as a promising athlete.
She dedicated countless hours to improving her abilities, sharing videos and photos of her impressive performances on social media.
The president of the local association 'Sporting Giaccio Pinzolo', Massimo Caola, noted:
“Matilda was 15 years old and dreamed of one day performing at the Olympic Games.”
“This dream turned into tireless effort that she invested on the ice, demonstrating determination to succeed even despite knee pain.”
He added:
“Despite this, she was able to reach the podium in her category.”
“A talented figure skater who always had the support of her family.”
Let us remind you that last Thursday another figure skater, Julia Marie Heiser, died in a truck collision while riding her bicycle in Austria.
The death of young Matilda has been a heavy blow for the community and the sports community.
