According to UATV: On June 21, 2023, Russian forces launched an attack on the city of Sloviansk in the Donetsk region. The shelling left three civilians injured, among them an 89-year-old woman. The assault was carried out using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), damaging several apartment buildings in a residential district of the city.
The bombardment occurred around 10:20 AM. Vadym Liakh, the mayor of Sloviansk, reported:
“Today at 10:20, the enemy struck Sloviansk again. MLRS, a residential area. Apartment buildings have been damaged.” - Vadym Liakh
Authorities are currently assessing the full extent of casualties and destruction. Local officials continue to provide aid to the victims and work on clearing the aftermath of the attack.
