Over the training ground in Dnipropetrovsk region, where a Russian reconnaissance drone struck on March 1, a formation of soldiers was held at the checkpoint.

At the checkpoint, a Russian bird was hanging since 10 AM; everyone knew about it. Then we were all gathered at 3 PM for the formation. Specific names were mentioned, and people were taken to the checkpoint. Twenty minutes later, the strike occurred. It was an Iskander of a new modification with cluster munitions.

The soldier noted that as a result of the strike, many fighters sustained serious injuries. He himself successfully avoided injuries due to a minor leg wound. According to him, there were no tourniquets at the checkpoint. Immediately after the strike, fast vehicles arrived to evacuate the wounded. Now the fighters have been sent home.

Another soldier nicknamed Hutsul talked about the events at the training ground. He reported that at the Time of the formation, there were servicemen at the training ground who had returned from absence without leave and officers. All of them were part of the 168th reserve battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After noticing the drone in the sky, four explosions were heard. There was no shelter near the training ground.

The mother of one of the soldiers who survived the strike confirmed that training at the training ground continued during the alarm.

The commander of the Ground Forces, Drapaty, confirmed the strike on the training ground and announced an investigation.

Earlier, information appeared about the strike on the 'Novomoskovsk' training ground. The Russian Defense Ministry released a video showing the strike of a cluster warhead hitting a concentration of military personnel. The number of casualties is currently unknown.

Today, March 3, Drapaty confirmed the strike on the training ground and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and demanded the harshest punishment for those who neglect the safety of the soldiers.

The State Bureau of Investigation opened a criminal proceeding regarding the deaths and injuries of soldiers as a result of the strike.
