On March 13, a hostile drone detonated in the courtyard of an apartment building, shattering windows and damaging balconies. The explosion sparked panic among residents, as the assault extended beyond residential zones to include recreational areas on the city’s right bank—underscoring the broad scope of the strike.

This incident highlights the ongoing threat to non-combatants in the region, where such attacks have become alarmingly frequent.

Residents Share Their Ordeal

Local inhabitants have recounted their harrowing experiences.

“The blast was so intense, God spare us. We’ve lived here for four years after fleeing occupation, but today… I still can’t recover,” said Viktoriya Horb. Another resident, Valentyna Mykolaivna, added: “I heard the buzzing, the interception, the explosion. I only had time to dash into the building entrance.”

This tragedy underscores the grave dangers civilians face amid war, emphasizing the urgent need for enhanced safety measures in vulnerable zones. Authorities are working to bolster security and provide aid to victims. As the conflict escalates, such attacks may become routine, demanding swift action from local governments and international bodies to protect citizens and mitigate harm.
