Avocado Prices Set to Rise Through Winter 2026: Current Costs and Future Outlook.
Avocado Prices Expected to Climb Until Late Winter 2026
According to Novyny.live: Experts forecast that avocado prices in Ukraine will continue to increase until the end of winter 2026. This trend is driven by sustained consumer demand for the fruit, coupled with persistently high logistics and transportation costs. Avocados have become a staple in many diets, contributing to their steady market appeal.
Avocado Prices as of January 27, 2026
- Ashan: 41.90 UAH per piece
- Metro: 49 UAH per piece
- Novus: 49.99 UAH per piece
- MegaMarket: 79.40 UAH per piece
- Silpo: 89.99 UAH per piece
- Varus: 214.90 UAH per kilogram
- ATB: 224.95 UAH per kilogram
- Fora: 262.90 UAH per kilogram
Specialists predict price hikes for certain avocado varieties could reach up to 20%. Costs for seasonal fruits, including avocados, are expected to fluctuate through the end of February 2026. Liliia Bystrytska highlighted the situation, noting
"prices may rise by the end of winter due to consistent demand and the high cost of logistics."
Consequently, consumers should prepare for the likelihood of more expensive avocados in the near future.
The rising cost of avocados reflects not only consumer interest but also broader economic factors, particularly expenses related to transport and supply chains. With demand holding steady, producers may be compelled to raise prices to cover their increasing costs. This dynamic could influence consumer purchasing decisions and reshape the Ukrainian fruit market in the coming months.
