Kia has conducted extensive testing of its new model EV4. The tests took place under real European traffic conditions over 110 thousand km, as well as on the Nürburgring track for 10 thousand km at the limit of capabilities (90-95% of maximum performance). The battery, which was charged during short breaks, showed very good results, maintaining its power level at 95%.
According to the company, the success of the EV4 model is ensured by the fourth generation battery system, which has improved thermal control and uniform distribution of coolant. This allows the battery to operate within a safe temperature range under high loads, maintaining its performance.
The model is also equipped with a regenerative braking system that allows recovering up to 25% of energy during braking, which helps reduce the load on the battery. According to Kia, even after 160 thousand km or eight years of operation, the battery of the EV4 model will retain at least 70% of its initial capacity.
The presented testing results of the new EV4 model by Kia indicate the high efficiency of the vehicle in moderate European traffic conditions and on the racetrack. Innovative technologies and enhanced battery systems make the EV4 a competitive offering in the automotive innovation market.Read also
