Belgium's Prime Minister Bart De Wever informs that the delivery of F-16 fighter jets for Ukraine is delayed due to issues with the F-35. However, the information that deliveries will be postponed until 2028 is false. The Belgian government plans to do everything possible to start deliveries as soon as possible.
The Belgian government is preparing specialists for operating the fighter jets, including pilots and mechanics, and is also providing spare parts. The first deliveries of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine may take place this year, but they will mainly be used for spare parts. Deliveries of aircraft ready for combat use are planned for next year.
