Higher pension in 2025 — who just needs to submit an application to the Pension Fund.

Some pensioners may receive an increased pension. To do this, it is sufficient to submit an application to the Pension Fund. However, this opportunity is not available to everyone.

The Pension Fund explains that most working pensioners have their pension amount automatically reviewed every year on April 1. In doing so, additional insurance experience gained after retirement or the last recalculation is taken into account. In some cases, the new salary is also considered.

The right to an automatic pension recalculation applies to the following categories of elderly citizens:

• If by the end of February the pensioner has at least 24 months of additional experience after the appointment or last recalculation;
• At least 2 years have passed since the appointment or previous adjustment of the pension (even if the experience is less than 24 months).

When to submit an application in person

If 24 months of experience has been accumulated only after April 1, an automatic recalculation is not carried out. In this case, the pensioner should contact the Pension Fund with an application independently.

However, this does not apply to pensioners who receive a pension for years of service (according to law No. 1788-XII) and have not yet reached the age of 60. In 2025, such individuals will not be eligible for a pension recalculation.
