ZSU destroyed a column of Russian equipment near Pokrovsk: assault on Gryshyne thwarted.
According to ТСН: In the Pokrovsk area, Russian troops are trying to gather forces for an attack on the village of Gryshyne, but so far they have not succeeded. Ukrainian units destroyed part of the enemy equipment during its movement.
Russian invaders attempted to exploit the logistical route between Shevchenkove and Pokrovsk to accumulate additional forces and resources. The enemy deployed over 30 units of light transport, including motorcycles, buggies, and cars.
“Units in the defense sector of the 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces destroyed some of the equipment during the march of the occupiers. In particular, thanks to the work of the M142 HIMARS system. The other part was detected and struck directly in the southeastern outskirts of the city, when the enemy was searching for shelter,”
– the statement reads.
Ukrainian defenders noted that the Russian 76th Air Assault Division was active. The 7th Corps reported that the Russians aim to further pressure the northern outskirts of Pokrovsk with a view to attacking Gryshyne.
Recall that the representative of the National Guard, Igor Yaremenko, reported that in the direction of Pokrovsk, the occupiers continue active assaults, using the “overflow” tactic with small groups for direct penetration into the city. Ukrainian defense forces timely detect these attempts and strike at the enemy's manpower and armored vehicles to ease the burden on the units holding the defense in Pokrovsk.
The situation in the Pokrovsk district remains tense as Russian troops continue attempts to expand their positions, while Ukrainian defenders act decisively to neutralize threats. The importance of controlling Gryshyne lies not only in a strategic aspect but also in a moral one, as every victory brings us closer to the ultimate goal — the liberation of territories.
