A man rescued off the coast of Spain after drifting 25 miles on an inflatable mattress.
Miraculous rescue on the shore
According to The Sun: An unusual case occurred when a man found himself in danger, floating on an inflatable mattress for 25 miles off the coast of Costa del Sol. He was spotted by the crew of the merchant vessel Epic Shikoku, who immediately notified the Maritime Rescue Administration in Cadiz.
Rescue boats quickly departed for the scene to retrieve the man from the water.
“The man was in a dangerous situation, but thanks to the coordinated actions of the crew, we were able to rescue him,” the organization stated.
This incident drew the attention of local residents and the media, as such situations are quite rare.
It is important to note that the local rescue service demonstrated a high level of professionalism and quick response. Thanks to their efforts, the man was able to return to safety. This serves as a reminder of the need to exercise caution while enjoying water activities, especially far from shore.
