Boris Johnson Calls for Troops to Be Sent to Ukraine Now: What He Said.
According to The Sun: Boris Johnson urged Britain to urgently send troops to Ukraine, regardless of potential ceasefire agreements.
He emphasized that only Ukraine has the right to decide which troops may be on its territory, and that Moscow's position must be ignored.
PAThese words came after President Donald Trump urged NATO countries to 'shoot down' Russian planes violating allies' airspace.
Britain and France have already gathered allies into a coalition ready to deploy 'forces for reliability' in the event of a ceasefire agreement with Russia.
Johnson stressed:
“If they are really ready, why don’t we send them now?”
He called on partners to lift restrictions on weapons supplies to Ukraine.
Speaking at the opening of the 'Unbreakable Ukraine' exhibition in London, Johnson criticized Germany for not providing Kyiv with its Taurus missiles.
He also expressed distrust towards the Labour government for purchasing Russian uranium.
He asked:
“Why aren’t we sending them Taurus missiles?”
“Why are we still buying uranium from Russia?”
“Why are there 300 billion rubles frozen in Brussels, and no foreign ministers in the world can unfreeze them?”
When one of the attendees asked: “Why didn’t you do that?”, Boris placed the blame on his removal from office.
He emphasized:
“There is no excuse for our delay.”
At the same time, U.S. President Donald Trump urged NATO not to hesitate in the face of Russian incursions.
These sharp statements were in response to the violation of Estonia’s airspace by two Russian MiG-31 fighter jets, which ignored warnings from Italian F-35s launched from the Amari base.
This has been the fourth violation this year and has sparked calls for urgent NATO negotiations.
Trump also responded to questions about NATO countries' military support if they decide to shoot down Russian planes. He did not provide a specific answer, stating:
“It depends on the circumstances.”
At a press conference on Tuesday, Trump also promised to reach out to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban with a request to stop purchasing Russian oil.

Boris Johnson emphasized that troops must be deployed 'with or without a ceasefire agreement'.
These statements reflect an increase in international efforts aimed at supporting Ukraine in its fight against aggression. In the context of rising tensions, it is important for allied countries to maintain unity and readiness to respond to any changes in the situation in Eastern Europe.
The activity of leaders such as Johnson and Trump indicates that the situation remains under close scrutiny, and further escalation of the conflict may have serious consequences for all parties involved.
