“Lies in the Army are Immense.” Sentsov Discussed the Large-Scale Problem in the Military.
Ukrainian director, former Kremlin prisoner, and soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleg Sentsov stated that in Ukraine, especially in the army, there is an "immense amount of lies". In an interview with "Ukrainska Pravda", he explained that the leadership might be reported only good news, but in reality - everything is different.
This forms a distorted vision when in headquarters one reality exists, but on the ground - quite another. They say: go there, capture this. But we can't, we don't have enough strength. How so? Forward, forward! We went - did nothing, and there are even fewer people. Let's go again and again. No, not here, but over there. And this is a madhouse, endless, I see no end to this
The serviceman added that at certain levels, commanders might smooth over this, but "the system overall operates like this." Sentsov emphasized that the Ukrainian army remains a small Soviet army fighting against a large Soviet army.
We remind you, Ukrainian director and soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleg Sentsov, believes that a person cannot be forced to fight, as it requires motivation.
A person cannot be forced to fight. They can be caught on the street, shoved into a van, have their documents and phones taken, brought to a training center, kept there almost under guard, delivered to a brigade, and they'll say: "I don't want to fight, I won't." Why is such a soldier needed? It's necessary to motivate people, provide them with opportunities and transparent, clear, equal rules of the game for everyone. So that people see it's fair: I go to fight for two or three years because everyone is fighting
Sentsov also shared about how during a battle it was possible to capture Russians. In particular, he shared a story about one of the occupiers and also explained what he feels next to the invaders.
