Emergency services were called at about 4:15 AM, but despite the efforts of medics, the man died at the scene.

A 34-year-old British man, who was with the victim, was detained in an apartment in Erzsébetváros, District VII of Budapest.

Local residents reported that the suspect was dragging the victim's body down the corridor when the police arrived, leaving a pool of blood near the apartment door.

Authorities stated that both men had rented the apartment during their visit to Budapest when a conflict erupted between them.

A murder investigation has already been launched, and police were scouring the area for the knife used in the attack.

The suspect admitted his guilt, and the prosecution took measures for his formal arrest.

Situation in London

Budapest is becoming increasingly popular among British tourists seeking cheap alcohol and vibrant nightlife.

This news comes against the backdrop of another tragedy: a 29-year-old woman was found stabbed at home, and her 'acquaintance' was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police and emergency services rushed to the scene in Greenwich, South London, after receiving reports of a stabbing in a residential building.

Paramedic teams, including the London Air Ambulance, were attempting to save the woman.

Unfortunately, she died at the scene on Trafalgar Street.

A 33-year-old man, whom police believe is the woman’s acquaintance, was arrested on suspicion of murder.

The British Foreign Office has been approached for comment.

The murder of the tourist in Budapest once again highlights the risks that travelers may face, regardless of the purpose of their visit. The city, although popular among tourists, is now in the spotlight due to a brutal crime. Meanwhile, the situation in London points to an ongoing threat of violence, which is also causing concern in society.
