Tragedy in Rhodes: the third tourist from the UK has died
According to The Sun: On the popular Greek island of Rhodes, the third tourist from the UK has fallen victim to tragedy. A 57-year-old man was pulled from the sea in the Presonisi area around noon on Sunday.
GettyAccording to officials, the tourist was unconscious and had no pulse when he was brought ashore. He was urgently taken to the Gennadi medical center, but doctors unfortunately declared him dead.
The port authority of Lindos has launched an investigation into the circumstances of his death. This is not the first incident of this type at the resort in recent weeks.
A month ago, another Brit was also found in the sea. A 26-year-old young man was pulled out unconscious after swimming in the picturesque area of Lindos. The port authority of Rhodes received an alert about the incident on August 16.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene; however, he also died at the Archangelos medical center. The name of this young man has not been disclosed.
Previous tragedies
In June, the body of a 68-year-old Brit was found on Lindos beach. According to reports, he also went for a swim but lost consciousness before he was found.

Meanwhile, another incident occurred in Ibiza where a woman died when a car drove onto the sidewalk, resulting in injuries to two other people. This shocking incident took place near Es Puet beach in the well-known resort of San Antonio.
The victims were urgently taken to the Nuestra Senora del Rosario Polyclinic. One of the women, aged 23, died due to the severity of her injuries, while another, also 23 years old, is in intensive care.

The events that occurred in Rhodes and Ibiza raise concerns among tourists and local authorities. Each incident underscores the importance of adhering to safety measures while on vacation, especially at beaches and in the water. Local police continue their investigation to establish all circumstances and prevent similar tragedies in the future.
