The United Kingdom is ready to support Ukraine to ensure a peace agreement
This was reported by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, according to Sky News.
Starmer also proposed to provide aircraft in order to adhere to the peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia.
'The United Kingdom is ready to support this with boots on the ground and aircraft in the air. Europe must take on all the heavy lifting,' Starmer said.
Some European countries are also planning a peacekeeping mission.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called for immediate action and will present a plan for a large-scale rearmament of Europe in the coming days.
'We must put Ukraine in a position of strength so that it has the means to strengthen and defend itself,' von der Leyen emphasized.
President Zelensky responded to calls for an immediate ceasefire without security guarantees.
