Russia attacked a hospital in Sumy
On the evening of March 18, Russian occupiers launched an attack on a hospital in Sumy. The medical facility, located near the border of Sumy region, was hit 7 times. According to Oleg Strilka, a spokesperson for the State Emergency Service in Sumy region, the situation remains complicated early in the morning of March 19. In recent weeks, enemy strikes have targeted critical infrastructure and educational institutions.
The attack occurred late in the evening when many patients were in the hospital for an overnight stay. The fire on the roof was quickly extinguished by rescuers, and an evacuation was conducted. A total of 147 patients were successfully evacuated, including people with limited mobility.
Buildings and windows of the children's hospital located near the shelling site were also damaged. The Russian attack caused destruction.
Information has also come in regarding the injury of a person in the Bucha district of Kyiv region as a result of enemy attack. Nine private houses and three townhouses were destroyed. Strikes on the civilian infrastructure of Sumy region and the city of Sloviansk in Donetsk region were also recorded.
