Zelensky's meeting with Putin
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, expressed hope for a complete and lasting ceasefire starting the next day. He emphasized that this step is crucial for further diplomatic resolution of the conflict.
Zelensky also announced a planned personal meeting with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. This event will take place on Thursday in Turkey. 'And I will wait for Putin on Thursday in Turkey. Personally,' the Ukrainian leader noted.
We expect a ceasefire starting tomorrow – complete and lasting, to provide the necessary basis for diplomacy. There is no point in prolonging killings.
It should be noted that Zelensky expressed hope that this time the Russian side would not evade the planned meeting. Earlier, the President of Ukraine had already reacted to Putin's appeal regarding negotiations.
