New Year's Eve with Light: What Influences Energy Supply During the Holidays.
According to ТСН: There is a possibility that Ukrainians will have electricity on New Year's Eve, but this largely depends on weather conditions and attacks by Russian forces on energy infrastructure.
Weather and Attacks Affect the Energy System
Member of Parliament Serhiy Nagornyak stated on the 'Morning.LIVE' program that during the holidays, electricity consumption usually decreases due to the halt in industry.
'We do not understand what strategy the enemy has for the New Year holidays, and how long the cold weather will last. I hope that Ukrainians will have light on New Year's Eve,' Nagornyak expressed.
Situation in the Energy System
Acting Head of the State Energy Supervision Anatoly Zamulko emphasized the deterioration of the energy system due to destruction caused by Russian military attacks. Despite high electricity production rates, power is still being cut due to difficulties in its transmission to consumers.
Experts' Forecasts
Energy expert Oleksandr Holizdra reported that in the event of severe frosts, the duration of electricity outages may increase, although the situation will not be critical.
The situation in the energy sector remains tense, and the New Year holidays could become a real test for Ukrainians. The dependence on external factors such as weather conditions and military actions adds uncertainty to the country's energy stability. It is important that energy specialists and state bodies continue to monitor the situation and provide useful information to the population during these challenging times.
