Budanov on Putin's circle: the number of supporters for ending the war is growing in the Kremlin.
According to ТСН: In the circle of the Russian dictator Putin, various opinions can be heard, including those that support the idea of ending the war with Ukraine.
Opinions in the Kremlin
Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov reported this in an interview with 'Suspilne'.
When asked whether there are voices in Putin's circle advocating for the end of the war, Budanov replied:
“A lot. A lot. And there are more now than before.”
According to him, such views exist in the Kremlin, despite the advances of Russian troops at the front.
“So what is the price of the advancement? Can you imagine how much one day of war costs? It’s expensive even by Russian standards, which spare nothing for war,”– added the head of the GUR.
Negotiations for ceasefire
Earlier, Kyrylo Budanov noted that the territorial question is the main 'stumbling block' in the negotiations regarding the end of the war in Ukraine.
Kyrylo Budanov's statements demonstrate that within the Kremlin elite, the possibility of ending the war, which has already brought enormous losses, is increasingly being considered. In particular, the economic and social consequences also force many people to think about the feasibility of continuing the conflict. However, the issue of territories remains a significant barrier in the negotiations between the parties, complicating the situation on a global level.
