There is no presence of Russian units on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border, but Ukrainians must be prepared for any scenario. This was reported by the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, in an interview with the 'Espreso' TV channel.

According to him, Ukraine must constantly strengthen its defensive positions on the border with Belarus, as this country remains under the influence of Russia, which has started a war against us. He noted that Russia is trying to involve Belarus in the conflict, so it is necessary to build up defensive capabilities and strengthen engineering planning on the border line. This will help ensure the safety of Ukrainian military personnel and allow them to conduct active combat operations.

Demchenko noted that there are currently no Russian troops on the territory of Belarus, but the situation is constantly monitored by Ukraine's intelligence units and the State Border Guard Service. He warned that the threat from Belarus will remain as long as this country is in the sphere of influence of Russia.

It is also worth mentioning that Poland continues the operation of the buffer zone on the border with Belarus. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration of the country, Tomasz Siemoniak. He stressed that the behavior rules and the length of the buffer zone remain unchanged.

In September, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine showed what is happening on the border with Belarus. According to the service, Alexander Lukashenko is deploying Belarusian troops to the border with Ukraine under the pretext of exercises. In response, Ukrainian border guards are strengthening their defenses in the Chernihiv region.
