More than two weeks ago, a terrible event occurred in Kyiv - the missile attack by the occupiers led to the destruction of an apartment building in the Svyatoshyn district. As a result, residents were left homeless, waiting for compensation, while the authorities are conducting an examination to determine if the building can be restored.

Chances for the restoration of the building in Svyatoshyn

An expert in public administration in the field of urban planning, Viktor Gleba, shared his opinion on the possibility of restoring the apartment building during a live broadcast of 'Vechir.LIVE'. According to Gleba, the building is 60% damaged, but there is still a chance for its restoration.

The expert also criticized the district authorities for their ineffective actions in ensuring the safety of residents, who are daily under threat from the emergency building. According to him, the absence of necessary anchoring metal equipment creates serious risks, and the building needs to be conserved and additionally inspected.

The expert emphasized the importance of checking all 27,000 panels of the building if its restoration is planned, as there is a risk of structural collapse. Earlier, residents of the same building awaited a decision from the expert commission, which complicated the process of obtaining compensation and restoring housing.

As a result of the missile attack by the occupiers on Kyiv, the apartment building in the Svyatoshyn district was damaged by 60%. Residents were left without homes and are waiting for compensation, while experts are assessing the possibility of restoring the building.
