According to UATV: On July 9, 2023, Odesa observed a day of mourning for those killed in a Russian missile attack. The death toll from the assault has risen to four. Seven people were wounded, six of whom remain hospitalized. Two of the injured are in critical condition.
The strike damaged infrastructure and a gas station. Commenting on the situation in the city, Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, stated:

Odesa Mayor Oleh Kiper confirmed that 'the number of victims has increased.' On July 8, 2023, Russia launched strikes on Odesa, resulting in tragic consequences for local residents. This attack is part of a broader pattern of hostilities affecting Ukrainian cities far from the front lines.
