Syrsky on the war with Russia: This is bravado, but Ukraine must be ready.
Statements by Russian officials about their readiness to conduct a war have been just variations for years. This opinion was expressed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, in an exclusive interview with 'RBK-Ukraine'.
The war can unfold at any moment
According to Syrsky, Russia cannot continue the war for several more years. He emphasized that even in the case of a frozen conflict or a peace agreement, Ukraine must constantly improve its military capabilities.
'Despite all future guarantees and the negotiation process, we must constantly prepare for war, for its continuation by Russia or for it starting a new one'
The Commander-in-Chief also noted that the Russian army can rapidly restore its forces, so Ukraine must be ready for the conflict to flare up at any moment.
'Because the threat will remain. Because the enemy does not abandon its intentions to capture all of Ukraine'
Previously, there were questions regarding Russia's possible preparation for a large-scale offensive, and Ukraine's 'red lines' in negotiations in the USA were also mentioned.
Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky emphasized in his interview the need for constant readiness of Ukraine for a possible escalation of the war, stressing that even in the case of a peaceful resolution of the conflict, war could start at any moment.
