Kyiv is now awaiting decisions on four more clusters, which are considered crucial to the country’s integration into the European community.
Appointment of Taras Kachka
To represent Ukraine within the European Union, Taras Kachka will take on the role of Ukraine’s envoy in Brussels, while also retaining his duties as the country’s trade representative. Zelenskyy noted that
‘important steps have been taken, and now we need to ramp up more sector-specific, detailed activity to move forward with the clusters already opened in the EU accession negotiations.’
The president also emphasized that ‘government officials and the diplomatic team at the Office will support Taras in carrying out the assigned tasks.’ These moves underscore Ukraine’s intensified push for European integration, which remains a top national priority.
This development highlights Ukraine’s active efforts to join the European Union, marking a key phase in the country’s international advancement. The launch of new clusters and the appointment of Taras Kachka reflect the government’s determination to strengthen ties with the EU and implement the reforms necessary for membership. Success in this area could have a major impact on Ukraine’s economic and social progress.
