Fuel Prices in Ukraine on March 28: Diesel and Gas Rise, Petrol Holds Steady.
Fuel Price Update in Ukraine
According to TSN.ua: On March 28, 2023, gas stations across Ukraine adjusted their fuel prices. While petrol costs remained unchanged, both diesel and autogas saw increases. The average price for A-95 petrol stands at around 72.72 UAH per liter. The highest price for this fuel grade is found at OKKO, WOG, and SOCAR stations, reaching 74.99 UAH. In contrast, the most affordable A-95 is available at Ukrnafta and BRSM-Nafta, priced at 68.99 UAH.
Diesel and Autogas Prices
At OKKO, WOG, and SOCAR, diesel fuel prices rose by 1 UAH, now costing nearly 85 UAH per liter. Premium diesel has climbed to approximately 91 UAH. Meanwhile, autogas at UPG increased by 1 UAH to 46.60 UAH. The highest autogas price is recorded at OKKO at 47.99 UAH, while the lowest is at BRSM-Nafta at 43.99 UAH.
In response to record-high fuel prices, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has launched a cashback program. This initiative offers partial compensation on fuel purchases:
- 15% on diesel fuel,
- 10% on petrol,
- 5% on autogas.
The program began on March 20 and will run until May 1, 2026.
These fuel price changes in Ukraine reflect the broader economic landscape, particularly rising global oil costs. The newly introduced cashback initiative aims to ease the financial burden on consumers amid inflationary pressures and increasing transportation expenses, helping to maintain demand for fuel resources during this period of economic strain.
