Fuel Price Snapshot in Kharkiv Region

According to Novyny.live: As of June 6, 2023, fuel prices across the Kharkiv region have remained unchanged. Average costs per liter are as follows:

  • A-95 gasoline — 75 hryvnias
  • Diesel fuel — 85.77 hryvnias
  • Autogas — 45.75 hryvnias

Compared to June 5, price fluctuations are negligible. For instance, A-95 gasoline dropped by just one kopeck, and A-92 saw a similar one-kopeck decrease. Diesel fuel also became one kopeck cheaper.

Impact of Military Strikes on Gas Station Safety

Beyond price shifts, it’s important to note that between April 27 and May 3 of this year, the Russian Federation launched 15 attacks on 11 gas stations in Kharkiv. Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated that

“from April 27 to May 3 alone, Russia carried out 15 strikes on 11 Kharkiv gas stations”

These assaults, notably occurring on May 1 and 2, involved Russian drones targeting several fueling stations in Kharkiv and Chuhuiv. In response to these threats, Oleh Syniehubov noted that

“the highway is now being secured with special anti-drone nets”

Thus, while fuel prices remain stable, the safety of gas stations in the region is a growing concern due to recent military attacks. As of June 6, fuel costs in Kharkiv show no significant shifts, despite these external dangers.

The stability of fuel prices in Kharkiv Oblast amid ongoing military strikes suggests a certain market adaptation to current conditions. This price steadiness may stem from limited demand or a consistent supply chain. However, the security threat to gas stations requires local authorities to take measures to protect critical infrastructure, which could affect future fuel availability for residents.
