Last Season
Gael Monfils announced that he is retiring from his tennis career, but he has one more season ahead of him. Before leaving for competitions, little Sky suggested to her father that they dress up as superheroes. According to the athlete, these images will stay with him forever.
“Before I left, my daughter said to me: 'Dad, what if we put on masks and became superheroes?'. She is in her Spider-Man mask, and I am in my Black Panther mask. Because in her eyes, I will always be a hero. And because through her eyes, we can look at the world together. I go with this invisible mask in my heart. With pride. With gratitude. With love. The last season. For her. For me,' the athlete noted.
Personal Life
Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils began their relationship in 2018. By 2021, the couple got engaged and later married. A year later, they welcomed their first child – daughter Sky.
Recall that recently actress Anna Koshmal for the first time fully showed her 9-month-old daughter, doing so only after the christening of Sofiia.
This touching story demonstrates how important it is for parents to maintain a connection with their children, as well as shows how emotionally significant simple moments can be. Gael Monfils, choosing to spend time with his daughter in superhero costumes, emphasizes the importance of family values that stay with us for a lifetime.
