According to The Sun: Severe weather conditions caused significant damage on the holiday island of Cyprus. The dams are overflowing, and landslides have led to serious flooding. In the northern part of the island, roads are submerged, turning into rivers. Cars are almost completely underwater due to the flood caused by Storm Byron, and people are struggling to cope with the rising water levels.
“Natural disasters have caused great damage, roads have become dangerous, and the population is facing difficulties.'
This situation highlights the vulnerability of the island's infrastructure to natural disasters. Local authorities have already begun recovery and cleaning efforts in the flooded areas. Details about the measures to mitigate the consequences of the natural phenomenon and support for affected residents are expected to be announced soon.
