"We should expect a final agreement on several deals. At the meeting in Paris, the US delegation is represented by Special Envoy Steve Wittaker and Jared Kushner. However, Secretary of State Marco Rubio could not attend the negotiations due to the detention of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro.

Wittaker framed Maduro's capture as a "great victory for the security of the Western Hemisphere" and a signal to all enemies of the USA. He emphasized that the successful operation in Venezuela demonstrates Washington's capabilities:

"Any opponent of the United States should be concerned about what they have seen. It demonstrated capabilities unavailable to any other country. At the same time, it shows that the United States, when the president says something, when we draw a red line, is ready to defend it with its forces. For me, this is the guarantee of peace through strength."
