Dan Balan Launches Production Company with Family Show 'Hat Birds' as First Project.
Introducing Ma Ya Hi Studios
According to TSN.ua: Moldovan singer Dan Balan has announced the launch of his new production company, Ma Ya Hi Studios, which will focus on creating family-friendly content. The company's first project will be a show titled 'Hat Birds'. The program will be broadcast in English, Romanian, and Ukrainian, aiming to reach a broad, international audience. This move marks a significant expansion for the artist, known globally for his music career.
The 'Hat Birds' Project
The host of 'Hat Birds' will be Dan Balan's mother, Ludmila Balan. Balan, who created the television program 'Tanti Ludmila Show' when he was 20, noted that this new venture is a continuation of a long-held dream. 'Tanti Ludmila Show' was a major success, achieving the highest ratings on Moldovan national television at the time.
'Today, I am launching my new company. We are starting with the first season of our first show—Hat Birds. This is a special day for me. My long-time dream has been to build a company that produces content for the whole family. To create a magical world where both children and their parents can find something close to their hearts.' — Dan Balan
He added that many people are unaware his first successes were in television, not music. 'I loved that world, but my life took a different direction. Five years ago, I decided to return to this dream,' he emphasized.
The launch of Ma Ya Hi Studios and 'Hat Birds' promises to be a major step in Dan Balan's career as he seeks to create quality programming for family audiences. For English-speaking viewers, Balan is best known as the frontman of the pop group O-Zone and for his solo hit 'Chica Bomb'.
This new production company demonstrates Balan's ambition to return to the television industry where he found early success. The family-oriented 'Hat Birds' project could become a landmark for television content development in Moldova and neighboring countries like Ukraine. Given the program's multilingual format, it may also foster cultural exchange and popularize family entertainment across the region.
